Purveyor Idol?

That's right?! It's American Idol--Chambers' Style. Well, for those of you who have no idea what a Chambers' purveyor is, allow me to enlighten you....

If you've ever been on tour before, you know that everywhere you go--people feed you, lots and lots! Well, each day our host family packs us a sack lunch. You know how it is with sack lunches-there's always stuff in there that you do not want--sometimes you're just in the mood for fruit or conversely junk food. It all depends on the mood. Well, just about that time, the purveyors make their rounds. They take their box/bag and collect all of the unwanted food. Next, they proceed to purvey the food. They pretty much auction off the food to whoever wants it the most. Sometimes you have to do something for it--yah, it's usually pretty entertaining.

Well, this year Clint and Riis were our purveyors. They did a pretty good job, but alas! Clint got sick and had to go home half way through tour. This called for our own version of american idol. Yup, Clint and Riis whipped out Purveyor Idol. haha They randomly picked people to come to the front of the bus to "purvey"...lol By popular demand we narrowed it down and somehow Jackie and Kent got the job...hmmm, interesting, pretty entertaining--even through Kent hit me in the head twice with an apple...

  • Yeah, for Purveyor Idol! I think Riis should have saved some of his ice cream sundae to purvey...

  • Riis is the man......

....again, I'm glad you are all back to not make me so lonely again.

  • purveyor= 1. One that furnishes provisions, especially food. 2. One that promulgates something: a purveyor of lies.

    Just to clear things up...

  • HAHA!! Ben Witter always did a great job with that. One year he auctioned things off. Another year on tour, he and Greg Bay (most of you probably have no idea who that is, though you may or may not know his wife Angela Bay) basically went around randomly hitting people with the leftover food. Fun times. Makes me wish I was on tour with the Band.... But, God has me here for a reason, that's for sure.
